Pastored by Dan O'Daniel, Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church started in October 2003 with a handful of folks, and we now average around 300 people per week ! God has been very good to us and our gatherings have been an enormous blessing in so many lives.
We'd love for you to join us. It's nothing fancy ~ our motto is "cowboy and cowgirl up and come as you are !" We promise you will have a good time as we share the word of God, enjoy great singers and hear an occasional piece of cowboy poetry. While kids are welcome to stay in our service, we also offer a Little Wranglers group for kids age 4 through the 6th grade.
We do things a little different for sure... We have a bucket hanging at the entrance rather than passing an offering plate. We use most of the money we raise to help folks in need rather than paying a mortgage. We have baptisms in a stock tank or a pond rather than a fancy baptistry. We wait until YOU want to hear about giving your life to Christ rather than pushing you into something before you're ready.
Oh ~ and another big difference between the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church and most other places of worship is that our services are held in a building that is home to a livestock auction during weekdays. As Pastor Dan says, "It's not every day you can go to church and smell cow manure at the same time!"
If you haven't yet found the kind of church that fits you or if you enjoy good gospel music or if you just want to find out what the cowboy church is all about, come see us some Thursday night! We promise you'll have a real good time!
Where We Meet
Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church meets every Thursday night at 7:00 PM at the Winter Livestock Sale Barn on Highway 412 just five miles or so west of Enid, Oklahoma.
Ray and Weston Winter, owners of Winter Livestock Auction, have been a great help to the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. They have never charged us for the use of their facility and have been helpful in every possible way. We sure appreciate their kindness!
